These are exciting times at the Crossing as we continue to enroll students at our 6 campuses daily.  Our enrollment has grown over 25% since the opening of school, and we often see a spike in enrollment at the end of the traditional school semester.  It is obvious to anyone associated with the Crossing that the key to our success is the incredible quality of employees who touch the lives of our students daily.  Using spiritual terms, God has truly blessed us with people who have a passion for our students and see their daily work as an opportunity and not a job.  Our staff spends extensive hours beyond the school day taking students to events, giving them rides home, coaching our soccer and basketball teams, performing community service, and even inviting them into their homes for a warm meal and building relationships with their family.  Our organization is successful because of the quality of people that are committed to a common cause and have convinced students to join their "tribe".

As our stories continue to be heard by Superintendents and community members throughout the State, we are receiving more contacts regarding starting a Crossing in their community.  At the present time, we are having dialog with 7 different school communities about starting a Crossing for the 2009-10 school year.  Recognizing that rapid growth without funding for administrative infrastructure could be devastating, our National board of directors is in continual dialog about our strategic growth plan for the future.  We anticipate hiring an excess of 12 people next year and we will begin the interview process in February.

Thank you for your prayers and monetary support as we press forward in revolutionizing the educational system for students with multiple challenges across the continent.
